ENYA The Celts (2026 UK/EU 15-track soundtrack LP pressed on Black Vinyl)

The debut studio album from the Irish singer, songwriter and composer, back in print on vinyl. It gathers music Enya wrote for The Celts, the BBC television documentary series on the origins and spread of Celtic culture, and was first released in 1986 under the title Enya before being remastered and reissued as The Celts.

Following her soundtrack to The Frog Prince, Enya wasasked by producer Tony McAuley to compose a single track for the series. Director David Richardson liked it so much that he commissioned her to score the whole series, and 72 minutes of music were recorded. She made it with Nicky Ryan and Roma Ryan, and the title track serves as the theme that opens every episode of the series.

Atmospheric soundscapes meet her lush, multi-layered vocals, sung in English and Gaelic, across pieces such as 'Boadicea' and 'March Of The Celts'. It set out the sound she took on to Watermark and her later global success. Recommended.
