THE MONKEES The Monkees (60th Anniversary Deluxe Edition 2026 UK/EU 62-track box set containing 1LP pressed on Black Vinyl and 3-CDs)
The 1966 debut album from the Los Angeles quartet formed for the NBC television series, celebrating its 60th anniversary with a multimedia package. The box set includes the original stereo album on 1LP, plus three CDs: the complete mono album with three rehearsal and demo versions of 'I Wanna Be Free', TV versions of tracks from the series, alternate takes, backing tracks, demos and radio spots.
The mono album disc presents the original 12-track release as it was first issued. The second CD gathers TV versions used in the series, including alternate mixes of 'The Kind Of Girl I Could Love' and alternate vocal takes of 'All The King's Horses', 'So Goes Love' and 'Papa Gene's Blues', plus NBC promo spots and the Kellogg's jingle. The third disc collects master and alternate backing tracks for songs including 'Theme From The Monkees', 'Let's Dance On', 'Gonna Buy Me A Dog' and 'You Just May Be The One'.
Includes new liner notes by Micky Dolenz.
