OM God is Good (2009 US 4-track vinyl LP from the Californian drone-doom duo, pressed on 180gm heavyweight vinyl and featuring four epic tracks that further expand their hypnotic blend of minimalism, spiritualism, and heavy bass-laden groove. Produced by legendary engineer Steve Albini at Electrical Audio, God Is Good finds Al Cisneros and Emil Amos delving deeper into transcendental territory with a more nuanced, percussive, and Eastern-influenced sound.
Includes the slow-burning mantra Thebes, the percussive instrumental Meditation Is the Practice of Death, and the monumental closer Gebel Barkal. With Albini's trademark raw and spacious production style, the album maintains OM’s spiritual intensity while offering a clearer, more spacious soundscape.
