A superb and highly sought-after original test pressing of Camel’s 1976 masterpiece Moonmadness, issued in advance of the commercial release for evaluation by studio engineers and label staff. Test pressings were produced in extremely limited numbers, making surviving copies a true prize for collectors of classic British progressive rock.This example captures the album in its purest sonic form, pressed directly from the approved production master. Featuring enduring favourites such as ‘Song Within a Song’, ‘Spirit of the Water’ and the breathtaking ‘Lunar Sea’, this is Camel at the height of their melodic, instrumental powers. Housed in a plain die-cut sleeve this example is presented with custom printed pink and black labels which have the catalogue number hand stamped on the A-side label along with studio/recording details plus full perimiter speed indicator markings - The disc carries minimal signs of previous play so therefore, a rare opportunity to own a pre-release artefact from one of the band’s most revered albums.
