ARCHIE SHEPP Left Alone Revisited (2021 UK/EU reissue of the 2002 10-track double LP, pressed on high-quality vinyl and housed in a deluxe fully laminated gatefold picture sleeve. This poignant tribute to Billie Holiday features legendary saxophonist Archie Shepp alongside pianist Mal Waldron, who originally recorded Left Alone with Holiday herself in 1959. The album blends melancholic ballads and expressive improvisation, including stunning renditions of When Your Lover Has Gone,Porgy, and the title track Left Alone.
Housed in a gatefold sleeve that features beautifully reproduced session photography, detailed liner notes, and a fold-out discography insert. The sleeve shows only the faintest signs of handling, while the vinyl has just a couple of superficial paper scuffs not affecting play – remaining in Near Mint to Excellent condition throughout ENJA91411)
